THE 2003/2004 CENTRAL TEXAS MODEL UNITED NATIONS

The 10th conference of the Central Texas Model United Nations (CTMUN) will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2004, at the University of Texas Teaching Center, 21st and Speedway, (adjacent to the Perry Castaneda Library).  This is a high school level conference.  Members of the Model UN Club at the University of Texas will be assisting the high school committee leaders, and will be the judges.

The Schedule for the day:
8:00 - 9:00 Registration
9:00 - 9:30 Opening Ceremony in UTC 2.11A (Auditorium)
9:30 - 12:00 Morning Session
12:00 - 1:30 Lunch (Note: Dobie Mall two blocks away)
1:30 - 4:00 Afternoon Session
4:00 - 4:45 Closing Ceremony in UTC 2.11A
5:00 End of the 2004 CTMUN

Organs of the UN to be simulated are: The Security Council (SC), The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), The International Court of Justice (ICJ), and two committees of the General Assembly: The Special Political (SPECPOL),and The Social and Humanitarian (SOCHUM)committees.
